Surveillance Operations: (requires optional built-in microphone and speaker)
From a central location, authorized personnel can call into the Communicator and listen in (via the built-in microphone) undetected by the people in the area. When necessary, personnel can take appropriate action, which may include broadcasting a message through the Communicator's loud speaker and/or activating the telephone handset to speak with a person in proximity to the Communicator's Front Panel.
To activate the Communicator's built-in microphone, speaker or telephone handset, the representative dials the Communicator's dedicated telephone number with a standard touch tone telephone. After the Communicator answers and outputs its synthesized phrase, identifying the ID # and the diagnostic report, the System will enter a stand-by mode (silent mode). It will now await a touch tone command.
