The Communicator may be configured with an optional LCD display. This display can be used for instructional and promotional information messaging. The display is remotely programmed, via the phone line and modem data transmission. The display can be phone line powered, when the Communicator’s is in an “off-hook” condition or in full time operation, if connected to a constant DC power supply.

Directory of Products and Services – provides dynamic menu of products and services for user selected dial-out.

Product Image Display – provides self-contained product pictures, controlled by the “called party” for visual assistance during telephone calls. Pictures are remotely changeable, via off-premises programming techniques.

Product and Service Advertisements – allows customers to advertise their own products and services and/or sell advertising space, on the Communicator, for display to the LCD screen. At the moment of interest, the system can then automatically connect the consumer to the advertised product company’s sales representative.

Customer Advisories – provide timely visual messages to customers, prior to, during or without the need for the telephone handset being picked up. Such messages may be instructional or promotional and are remotely changeable.

Hearing Impairment (TDD ADA Compliance) – Provides dynamically displayed information, without the need to use the handset. When used in conjunction with an optional, integrated keyboard it provides the functionality of a TDD (Telephone Device for the Deaf).
