Company History:
Founded in 1997, Telemedia launched its line of computer-controlled Communicators, reinventing the courtesy phone industry. Based upon an 8-bit Intel 8051 microcontroller, it was a major step forward in the technology of vandal resistant, high durability, publicly accessed courtesy phones.
Marketing its products to both the financial services and travel industries, over 1,200 systems were sold in its first 16 months of operation. Due to continued and increasing demand for its products, the company focused on extending its core product line and began in-house design and development of kiosks and enclosures, utilizing novel and non-traditional manufacturing processes. These improved manufacturing techniques, utilizing thermo-forms and polyurethane molds, allowed it to reduce manufacturing costs and provide product designs previously unobtainable. It had revenues of $1.2 million in its first full operating year.
During the past 12 months, TTI has actively undergone an R&D program in preparation for the launch of its Generation VI Communicator. Incorporating a 32-bit ARM-based RISC processor, with a color LCD screen, Card Reader, Ethernet and Wireless Internet connectivity, USB interface and built-in voice-announcing, the TTI Generation VI Communicator is revolutionary. Never before incorporated within a courtesy phone, no less than five feature/ functions are currently in process for patent application. During the first quarter of 2006, TTI will be introducing its Generation VI product line to its existing customer base, coupled with the launching of a widespread national marketing program.
